GeonatIQ leverages machine learning and AI to advance our understanding of Earth and planetary systems. One example includes using AI for satellite imagery and computer vision for geological images. Collaborating with acdeamic researchers, our team have developed advanced AI models to remove noise from hyperspectral data captured by the Compact Reconnaissance Imaging Spectrometer for Mars (CRISM). This denoising technique, overcomes sensor degradation and lack of surface ground truth data, enabling more accurate extraction of Martian mineralogy. This innovation enhances the quality of CRISM data, improving understanding of Mars’ surface mineralogy and past environmental conditions, and identifying new areas for exploration and discovery on the Red Planet.
