AI-Driven Solutions for
a Sustainable Energy Future

AI for ENERGY
GeonatIQ’s work in the energy sector spans oil & gas, power markets, and renewables, with a consistent focus on applying AI to complex, high-dimensional technical and commercial problems.
In oil & gas, we have developed and deployed advanced subsurface models, including a Direct Hydrocarbon Indicator (DHI) model designed to detect the seismic signatures of oil & gas directly from seismic data. This work goes beyond traditional attribute interpretation by operating in high-dimensional feature space, allowing subtle and non-linear relationships to be identified. Our models have been used to generate and analyse seismic attributes, discriminate reservoir facies, and infer the presence of hydrocarbons, water, and porosity, supporting exploration, appraisal, and subsurface risk reduction.
Across the broader energy system, including electricity and renewables, we apply AI to forecasting, optimisation, and operational decision-making. This includes work on energy demand forecasting, storage optimisation, and trading strategies, as well as grid-level monitoring and control problems where uncertainty and time dynamics matter.
Alongside these models, we build AI agents that automate workflows across the energy value chain. These agents can monitor data streams, flag anomalies, track regulatory or market signals, and surface decision-relevant insights in real time. The result is not just better models, but systems that continuously support engineers, traders, and decision-makers in complex energy environments.
